Also at the Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, Id Software stated that they are keen on bringing games to the Mac. Co-founder & Chief Technical Officer John Carmack said, “We were able to put this together fairly quickly, which speaks highly of the Mac platform. Scott Cronce, VP, Electronic Arts comments, “Leveraging TransGaming’s Cider technology to bring our hit franchises to Mac users is an exciting first step in delivering the video game experience that Mac users deserve. With the launch of these titles, it truly is the best time to be a Mac gamer.”

Vikas Gupta, CEO, TransGaming said, “Traditionally Mac users had to wait to play the latest blockbuster games. We’re thrilled that TransGaming’s Cider engine will considerably decrease the time it will take to bring EA’s hit portfolio of games to a thirsty Mac market.”

Mac gamers will be delighted to play games such as Battlefield and NFS. Generally Apple computers, which are known for their graphics-processing prowess, are used by gaming companies to make art and environments for the video games.
