Iocaine Studios has announced their first title, ThreadSpace: Hyperbol. The game has a futuristic plot and includes battles which require tactics as well as strategy. It also has a multiplayer mode.
About ThreadSpace Hyperbol:
- Set in the distant future, ThreadSpace: Hyperbol submerges gamers into a importunate universe filled with battles involving tactics and strategy. Players control massive ships capable of firing over 30 unique projectiles in battlefields that support up to 16 players online. With the capability to obtain new ships and modify them to their play-style, gamers are in store for a fast-paced strategy game with intense multiplayer action.
Jason Fader, President, Iocaine Studios said, “After the enthusiasm of being a finalist in the Independent Games Festival, we reworked the game a bit and brought it to the next level. We’ve worked incredibly hard and believe in this game. This all happened with just four guys working out of my dining room, getting by on the money we saved up from our day jobs – thanks to Atari, a small team like ours is able to get noticed and show the world what we can do.”
ThreadSpace: Hyperbol has been developed by Iocaine Studios and will be digitally distributed worldwide by Atari and its affiliates. The game will release for the PC this summer. The screenshots look great, but somehow they remind me of Tron!
