Igor Video Game Coming Soon

John Cusack Well those of you who were waiting for the Igor animated film to release should rejoice! According to entertainment news website Variety, a video game based on the forthcoming Igor animated movie will also be rolled out. The rights of this video game were bought by Interactive Game Group (IGG) from Exodus Film Group.

IGG has been formed by ex-Atari topper Frederic Chesnais. He said, “We handle financing, find the publishers and basically facilitate the whole transaction.”

Legacy Interactive, who have previously worked on games like Law & Order will be working on the Igor video game. The Igor movie is being voiced by John Cusak, Steve Buscemi, John Cleese and Jennifer Coolidge. Legacy Interactive may tap up these actors for the video game also.

The Igor video game is expected to release on the Nintendo DS, Wii and the PC platforms as they are targeting the family and casual audience. The DS version of the Igor game will be developed by Mistic Software but there’s no word as to who will develop the game on other platforms. The Igor video game is slated to release along with the movie in 2008. Legacy has cited that as a reason as to why they will not be able to make the game for the PS2, PS3 and the Xbox 360.
