A new game, ‘East India Company’, has been developed by Encore Games. The game is set on 18th century high seas and has a remarkably strong storyline. The gamer impersonates the role of a young captain of British East India Company, set out to find out who exactly was the pirate who killed his father and brother and to avenge their deaths.

The game world spans from London to Aceh. Player can choose which role to take, be it trader, soldier or a buccaneer. There are more than 100 missions which provide challenges for all roles. The game centers strongly on player ship and naval clashes. There are 10 different kinds of ship kinds to opt from, from small and responsive sloops to hulking merchantmen and to ships-of-the-line that bristle with powerful cannons.

Unique characters such as marine snipers, surgeon, cannon officer and navigator are hired and used to improve the skill of the ship and her crew. Trading and discovering exotic scenes are also a huge part of the gaming experience. There are more than 40 cities, towns and villages to visit and do trading in. There is also military and political power to be gained. But sadly, there is no dancing involved in the game.

British East Indian Company is the most powerful company which dominated trade, politics and military situation in the East Indies during middle 18th century.
