PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds’ September patch testing for weekend debut

PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds which proudly crossed the 1 million concurrent Steam users mark only last week, has been awarded its September patch along with the promise of less rigid update schedules by developer Bluehole. The patch has gone live on test servers in preparation for its mainstream debut by the weekend, if things flow smoothly for it.

There are the usual bug fixes as well as UI/UX changes in PUBG’s September update. But the actual talking points include a new weapon and bad weather. That’s right, a foggy weather condition has been added to the game. It will force players to either wait it out or toss the sniper in favor of close range combat. Does it make sense in a game like PUBG though?

At any rate, the incidences of foggy weather will be less frequent on the live servers. The exciting weapon introduction is the lightweight and compact 5.56 semi-automatic Mini-14 marksman rifle. Players can also hunt around for modifications for it such as stocks and scopes. Even a new town called East of Stalber has made its way to PUBG through the latest patch.

The graphics and animations have been overhauled to a certain extent, as have the sounds and actions. The Tommy gun is not a part of Care Packages anymore and will spawn in the world from now on. Idle gamers will stop earning BP and those who get knocked out underwater will face a breath gauge along with taking additional damage. The Crossbow reload speed has been upped by 35%.

The modifications mentioned above are some of the main ones in a long list of updates featured in the September patch. We’re sure fans won’t waste any time in exploring it for themselves.
