Nintendo has released a lot of amazing games on the European Virtual Console. This week too they have put up two new games on the VC. European Wii gamers can expect Street Gangs and Adventure Island.
Details of the games on the European VC:
First up we have Street Gangs, a beat ‘em up role playing game that debuted on Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991. It is about high school students Alex and Ryan, who are on a mission across River City to liberate Ryan’s girlfriend, Cyndi, from a gang lair at River City High. Gamers have to gather cash from beaten gang members to buy enhanced abilities as well as special items like new shoes, books and health snacks.
Then we have Adventure Island, a side-scrolling, action-packed game which was first launched in 1992 on the NES. Gamers play the role of Master Higgins. His girlfriend has been abducted by a treacherous Witch Doctor. Now Higgins has to navigate dangerous forests as well as monster infested caves. Gamers can get items as they journey around the island to top up decreasing energy levels. The game features eight exhilarating worlds.
Street Gangs comes with a price tag of 500 Wii Points. Adventure Island also costs the same price. It is good to see a side-scrolling action game like Adventure Island on the Wii VC. These games now take the list of retro titles available for Virtual Console in Europe to 189.
