Blazing Lazers, Diddy’s Kong Quest and Streets of Rage 2 heading to the American VC

This time around, for the American gamers, Nintendo has decided to unleash monkeys and lasers. Blazing Lazers, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest and Streets of Rage 2 will soon be available to the American Wii gamers.

Blazing Lazers (TurboGrafx16, 1 player, 600 Wii Points):

Blazing Lazers was created in 1989 by Hudson Soft for the TurboGrafx-16 gaming console. The game is a vertical-scrolling shooter where gamers can be in command of the astonishing firepower of their Gunhed Star Fighter to take on the Dark Squadron that has begun its attack on Earth. Gamers can amass power-ups to amplify their ship’s battle power so it can cut through enemies and overpower the bosses in all nine areas.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest (SNES, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points):

Diddy’s Kong Quest was released in 1995 as a sequel to Donkey Kong Country. The game sees Diddy Kong and his girlfriend Dixie Kong rescue Donkey Kong. Diddy and his friends travel around all the hidden areas of the Kremlings’ island, which has a spooky haunted forest, perfidious swamps, a giant beehive oozing with sticky honey and lava-filled caves.

Streets of Rage 2 (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points):

Streets of Rage 2 is a sequel to Streets of Rage and was released in 1995 by Sega. After the celebration, Axel finds Adam and Skate’s house ruined, and a picture showing Adam chained up at the feet of Mr. X. Axel and Blaze team up with Skate and Max Thunder to free the city and save Adam from the Syndicate.

Blazing Lazers, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest and Streets of Rage 2 will go live at 9 a.m. Pacific time. Wii gamers can download these games from the Wii Shop Channel. Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest has already been released for the European VC.
