Nintendo is bringing some of the greatest arcade games of all-time to the European version of Wii’s Virtual Console. This week, they are releasing Pac-Man, ActRaiser and Bonk’s Revenge.
Details of the European VC games:
Pac-Man (500 Wii Points):
- Whether you are a seasoned gamer or a complete newcomer to playing games you will have been hard pressed to not have heard of 80s arcade sensation Pac-Man. Starring a hungry yellow sphere named Pac-Man, gamers must navigate mazes, eat everything they find and at the same time steer clear of deadly ghosts.
ActRaiser (800 Wii Points):
- Super Nintendo title ActRaiser makes its Virtual Console debut. ActRaiser is unlike anything you have ever played before, combining side-scrolling platform action with the power of playing god. Playing as an omnipotent being in the simulation sections, players must protect and guide a human civilization as they evolve and grow. In the action sections players take on the role of a warrior and battle enemy hordes threatening their people.
Bonk’s Revenge (600 Wii Points):
- Last but by no means, least in this week’s Virtual Console offering is comical platformer Bonk’s Revenge. Making its debut in 1991, this Turbografx title pits bald-headed hero Bonk against the sinister King Drool III in an amusing take on the platform genre.
Pac-Man, ActRaiser and Bonk’s Revenge now takes the number of games launched for the European VC to 73. However, I feel, Pac-Man is the best game released for the Wii’s Virtual Console as it is one of the greatest video games ever made!
