Breath of Fire, Galaga 90 and Volleyball Hitting European VC

European Wii gamers have been waiting for some action and that’s what Nintendo will give them this week! Breath of Fire II, Galaga ‘90 and Volleyball will be available on the European Virtual Console.

First up is Breath of Fire II (800 Wii Points). It is a game of friendship, heroics, rivalries and combat in a role-playing format and was first released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1996. Gamers take the role of Ryu, who sets off to set free his sister battling powerful dragons and other enemies with his brave band of followers along the way.

Then we have GALAGA ’90 (600 Wii Points), which was released in 1989 on the Turbografx. Gamers combat their way through space to break the enemy strong hold of the Planet Galaga. It will have many levels that have different alien enemies and gamers will have to collect Capsules to open new Dimensions along the way.

The third game is Volleyball (500 Wii Points) that was first released in 1987 on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Gamers have eight male or female teams to select from. They can select their ultimate team and take part in practice rounds, before heading off to take part in games at an international level. Volleyball features lobs, attacks and daring dives and gamers can take on the Wii or a human opponent.

GALAGA ’90 was released earlier this week on the American Virtual Console. Breath of Fire II, Galaga ‘90 and Volleyball now add up to the list of 120 classic titles already available for the European VC.
