Vib Ribbon

Masaya Matsuura said, “Yes, possibly. Rhythmica is a very parallel idea to Vib Ribbon, it’s about analyzing audio and creating a game from that data, but it uses MP3 audio instead of CDs. We are talking about the possibility of making a downloadable version of Vib Ribbon for Sony. Nevertheless, I do not know yet, Sony only recently launched their downloadable service in Japan, so perhaps we need to wait a while before releasing a title with that kind of appeal.”

He made this statement after his presentation at the Australian gaming expo, GO3. Vib Ribbon was well accepted by the gamers as it let them make their own soundtracks and levels by changing the game disc with a music CD. However, the game was released only in Japan and Europe and not in North America. Maybe this time, the game will release in that region.
