Nintendo Wii U Launch Titles: Bayonetta 2, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and More

The Nintendo Wii U launch titles lineup is up and ready, and is being highlighted by a few newly revealed games that include Bayonetta 2, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, 007 Legends and more. Publishers like Ubisoft, Activision, EA as well as Nintendo itself have announced their games that will be made available along with the console throughout its release window (not all games will be out on launch day). The price and release date details of the console were also revealed yesterday..

Console

Much to gamers’ surprise Bayonetta 2 was unveiled by Platinum Games, and the shocker is that this sequel is set to be a Wii U-exclusive. A trailer is out now, but other details are expected to come out in the future. The first game in the series came out for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010 and received quite some acclaim for its hack and slash action.

Activision Publishing
007 Legends will be coming out for the console with its first-person shooter antics that are based on six James Bond films including the upcoming Skyfall. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was till now just rumored to be coming to the Wii U, but Activision has confirmed its existence.

Other than these, Transformers Prime, Wipeout 3, Skylanders Giants, Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2013 and Rapala Pro Bass Fishing have been confirmed by the publisher.

Ubisoft
The much anticipated ZombiU got a new gameplay trailer, while it was revealed that Rayman Legends will indeed be available at launch. These two have been made exclusively for this platform.

In addition, other Ubisoft games like Assassin’s Creed 3, Just Dance 4, Marvel Avengers Battle for Earth, Rabbids Land, Sports Connection and Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013 were also disclosed to be part of their lineup.

Electronic Arts
EA will be bringing its premier sports titles Madden NFL 13 and FIFA 13 to the console. Besides, BioWare’s much loved RPG, Mass Effect 3 will also be released by the compnay during the launch window.

This version is being developed by Australian studio Straight Right, and will kick in a number of added features as well as post-release DLC packs.

Nintendo
The parent company is ready with its own lineup of games which includes the much hyped Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U.

And then it will also be publishing Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, SiNG Party, LEGO City: Undercover, Wii Fit U, Game & Wario, Pikmin 3 and The Wonderful 101.

THQ
Darksiders 2 was already confirmed to be headed to the console, but THQ made two other additions to its list of Nintendo Wii U launch titles. They include Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
The big name here is Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition. It comprises the Wii U-optimized game as well post-release DLC.

Besides, Scribblenauts Unlimited will also be doled out by the publisher with an exclusive 2-player co-op multiplayer mode. Even Game Party Champions will be published by Warner Bros.

Sega, Capcom, Tecmo Koei and Namco Bandai
Aliens: Colonial Marines and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed are warming up in Sega’s stable, while Capcom looks ready with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.

Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper came as a pleasant surprise from Tecmo Koei. Namco Bandai Games confirmed two titles in the form of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Tank! Tank! Tank!

Other
The other games that are set to come out for Nintendo’s brand new console include Funky Barn, NBA 2K13, Rise of the Guardians: The Video Game, Ben 10: Omniverse, Family Party: 30 Great Games Obstacle Arcade, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, Trine 2: Director’s Cut and Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien. The list of the Nintendo Wii U launch titles ends with Zumba Fitness Core, Jett Tailfin, Nano Assault Neo and Toki Tori 2. It should be noted that these games will keep getting released during the launch window which runs from November 18 to March 31, 2013.
