Nintendo Discloses New Wii Games and Launch Dates

Nintendo has previously graced the Wii and DSi terrain with loads of delicious delights in the form of action-packed games. Now the company dishes out the dates of specific titles as well as updated information on its forthcoming releases. These games include Sin & Punishment: Star Successor and Metroid: Other M.

Sin & Punishment: Star Successor is a new shooter title fashioned by acclaimed developer Treasure. The game includes two playable characters as well as international online leaderboards for tracking high scores. A precise shooting experience is gained as the game takes complete advantage of the Wii Remote’s pointer functionality.

The latest iteration in the Metroid series namely Metroid: Other M offers players the option to play either in 2D side-scroller or 3D format. They can traverse through the game exploring passages of the space station and engage into the captivating story of bounty hunter Samus Aran’s past. In order to play the first-person game, players need to hold the controller sideways to travel and aim at the screen to shoot enemies.

Bit.Trip Runner is noted to be the very first character-based adventure for Captain Video. The title is also the latest iteration in the famous Bit.Trip series and comprises of 50 challenges and a chiptune-inspired soundtrack. With this latest inclusion, gamers can enjoy rhythm-based action all on their Wii console.

Sin & Punishment: Star Successor and Metroid: Other M will unveil onto the Wii by June 27 and August 31, 2010 respectively. Published by Aksys Games, Bit.Trip Runner is expected to release on May 17, 2010. The pricing details are still a bit hazy at this point.
