New TT Champion Bat for Wii revealed by Shinobii Technologies

A game peripherals manufacturer and designer based in the UK has designed an ideal Wii controller which lends a feel of genuine ping pong game-play. In an attempt to vie for the digital gaming experience as close to reality possible, Wii Table Tennis lovers at Shinobii Technologies have modulated the Wii Remote technology into a realistic TT Champion Bat.

“Part of the strategy of beating your opponent in this high-speed action game is learning precise bat control, and the feeling of grabbing a handful of air every time you swing the remote is counter-productive to developing that strategy,” explained Andy Mitchell, Sales Manager at Shinobii Technologies.

Imitating the features of a conventional table tennis paddle, the TT Champion Bat is built upon XtraMotion Technology which directly transmits torque, spin control and paddle movement to the software. Eradicating the requirement of utilizing the traditional Wii Remote, the new bat has built-in batteries which can be recharged over time. Players will experience a fresh dimension of virtual gameplay as the bat feels, looks and weighs very similar to a real table tennis paddle.

Compatible with all Wii Motion Plus games and obtainable online and at retail outlets throughout Europe and North America, the TT Champion Bat is expected to carry a price tag of $69.99 (approx. Rs. 3082).
