This week’s Nintendo Download for the Wii system includes one Ace Attorney title and one Sonic game. Nintendo has released Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice For All, Art of Balance, and WarMen Tactics for WiiWare, and Sonic and Knuckles for the Virtual Console.
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice For All from Capcom comes for one player. The game allows you to explore four shocking new cases from the first-person perspective, and features two rather unique gameplay modes, Investigations Mode and Court Mode. In Investigations Mode you will have to survey crime scenes, interview witnesses and collect evidence, while in Court Mode you have to present your finding to the court, sit through testimonials and cross-examine witnesses. The game also features a “Psyche-Lock” feature which allows Phoenix to use a line of questioning to bring inconsistencies in witness testimony to the surface. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice For All is available for 1000 Wii Points.
Art of Balance is a physics-based puzzler in which you must build a balanced stack. The game has a split-screen versus mode for two players to play, but can also be played by a single player, and features 100 levels which will challenge your skill as well as your imagination. A second player can drop in at any time for co-op play. Art of Balance is available for 800 Wii Points.
WarMen Tactics is the third and final addition to WiiWare this week. The game takes place in the year 2013 where the world leaders have coalesced the police and military into a single force called the Department of Control. Opposing this force is a bunch of rebels, made up of ex-military personnel who refuse to join the Department. You are part of this resistance, and must destroy scrambler devices placed around the city. The game has been designed to reflect urban warfare, and you must resort to taking cover behind walls and other obstacles. WarMen Tactics is from Calaris and for one player. It is available for 800 Wii Points.
Sega’s Sonic & Knuckles makes its appearance on the VC. In the game, Sonic buddies up with former nemesis Knuckles to defeat Dr. Eggman. The duo of Sonic and Knuckles must stop Dr. Eggman’s plans once and for all. The game features Lock-On Technology, allowing you to play as Knuckles in other Sonic titles which for the VC that you own. These titles include Sonic The Hedgehog 2, and Sonic The Hedgehog 3.
