Ace Attorney title on this week’s WiiWare

Yet another weak helping of downloadable tiles for the Wii comes to us this week with only two WiiWare games and not a single offering for the Virtual Console. On WiiWare this week we have Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations from Capcom, and Chess Challenge! from Digital Liesure.

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations is the third game in the Ace Attorney franchise. Players investigate 5 shocking new cases from a first person perspective. The game has two unique modes of play, Investigations Mode and Court Mode. In Investigations Mode you will have to take a look at crime scenes, talk to witnesses and collect evidence, while in Court Mode you will have to present your findings and cross-examine witnesses. The game also packs a “Psyche-Lock” feature allowing you to bring to the surface inconsistencies in witness testimonies. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations is available for 1000 Wii Points.

The second game for the WiiWare is Chess Challenge! and can be played by one or two players. You can play the game against a computer controlled opponent in multiple difficulty modes, or use the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to play online matches. There is even an online leaderboard, and you can play a game with up to five different Wii friends with WiiConnect24 if you don’t have the time to play a live chess game. Chess Challenge! is available for 500 Wii Points.

Nintendo features parental controls allowing parents to monitor and control the content to which their kids are exposed.
