Each week, Nintendo Wii and DSi owners are offered a complete treat in the form of new games and titles at their disposal. The array has something for players of all ages and fascinations. This week as well Nintendo has unveiled three juicy treats for the Wii; Fishie Fishie and Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 2 for WiiWare and IronClad for the Virtual Console.
Fishie Fishie is published by DK Games and is observed to be played by only pressing one single button. The game is all set to test just how quick the players’ reflexes are. There is a series of tutorials which shows them how to control their fishie as well as information on the different game modes. The game contains over 100 levels strewn across seven game modes namely Soccer, Story, Survival, Skill and Capture the Star. Up to four players can simultaneously indulge in gameplay on the same screen.
Published by Lexis Numérique, Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 2 is aimed at a target audience of children aged 3 to 6. The single player title is noted to be a fun trainer which teaches kids the basics like numbers, lateralization, colors, letters and shapes. They will be able to learn all this, earn interactive rewards and much more with the PooYoos who are a band of cute baby animals. There are two levels of interactivity with the instructions spoken out in languages such as English, Spanish and French.
The Virtual Console segment this week gets IronClad which is published by D4 Enterprise and was originally fashioned for the NeoGeo platform. This side-scrolling shoot-‘em-up title lets gamers control a warship and team with Iron Clad to save the Kingdom of Chop from the Iron Mask Republic. Players can do so by utilizing different forms of weaponry such as three main blast weapons which can be upgraded by gathering more items. There are also three types of melee weapons for close-range combat, different shooting patterns and bomber for clearing enemy bullets. Gamers can also opt to play on any of their desired stages in the title.
Fishie Fishie and Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 2 are priced at 500 Wii Points each while IronClad can be acquired for 1,000 Wii Points.
