Nintendo has whipped up a delicious treat for Wii owners as they head towards the holiday season. This week, Robox and Gene Labs expand the Wii library of titles while Street Slam wades its way to the Virtual Console.

Published by DreamBox Games, Robox has been noted to be an action-adventure title which enables players to unravel mysteries of an unknown planet. In the game, a squad is assigned with the mission to investigate the disappearance of previous probe teams while gathering valuable information. However, a plane crash causes severe damage to the main character, requiring players’ intervention into gameplay. While helping the lead character to recover, gamers can uncover the main objective behind the mission. They can also traverse through varied locations around the planet and control tiny creatures for restoring skills and accessing memory files.
The other title enclosed into this week’s download package is an arcade puzzle dubbed Gene Labs. This game revolves in a world engulfed with genetic science and experiments which unveils the face of a new virus. With the capability to generate genetic mutations, this new virus is said to be spreading at a rapid speed. Players will need to cure infected cells with the help of an anti-virus solution before the breakout of any major crisis.
After donning the garb of a forensic expert, gamers can also transform into a basketball player with Street Slam which has been unleashed for the Virtual Console. Released in 1994, this 3-on-3 street basketball game allows them to select from amongst 10 teams. These sides will have to contend for the position of the strongest team in America as their players flaunt smooth skills and execute fancy slam dunks. Designed with simple controls, it enables gamers to score at a rapid pace while the title blends the fundamentals of the sport with unique moves.
Gamers can lay their hands on Robox and Gene Labs from WiiWare for the price of 1,000 and 500 Wii Points, respectively. Besides, Street Slam is available for download through the Virtual Console at 900 Wii Points. Players can also purchase additional Wii Points from the Wii Shop Channel.
