In the past there have been many Wii accessories which act as enhancements to your Wii remote. Guns in which you can slip in your Wiimote are somewhat common. But we have even had the bizarre and outrageous Wii bowling ball. Now Kotaku is reporting that CTA Digital has come up with yet another quirky product, the Wii Football Accessory.
The plastic football is modeled after an authentic football and opens up to accept the Wii remote, turning it into the “optimum performance-enhancing accessory”. The accessory comes with a special wrist strap to keep the ball safely in your hand, plus a retractable hand strap.
The Football for Wii is compatible with Madden NFL 10, Madden NFL 09 All-Play, NCAA Football 09 All-Play, Backyard Football ’09, Family Fun Football, and any other Wii football games which require a Wii Remote. The Football for Wii also has space for the Motion-Plus accessory, if you have one.
The football accessory might take some getting used to. But who wouldn’t want a more authentic footballing experience on the Wii? Prices of the accessory are not known.
