NyxQuest and Rock N’ Roll Climber on WiiWare, Super Star Wars on VC this week

We just saw Nintendo promise to bring us loads of LucasArts games on the VC for Wii owners. Now we have word that as part of this week’s Nintendo Download, NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits and Rock N’ Roll Climber have been released as WiiWare while Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters is available as DSiWare.

NyxQuest Kindred Spirits

NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits tells the story of Nyx, a mysterious winged girl who is in search of her friend Icarus. Players can fly over ancient Greek ruins as they avoid peril and take the help of the gods as they go about their quest. The game utilizes the Wii controller and can be played by one or two players. Developed by Over The Top Games, NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits can be purchased for 1000 Wii Points, and from the gameplay video, seems worth every point.

Rock N' Roll Climber

Rock N’ Roll Climber is for one player and is published by Nintendo. The game features an innovative control scheme as players climb using their remote and nunchuk controllers. The game even features optional support for the Wii Balance Board. The indoor rock wall of the Pop level and the Heavy Metal level’s waterfalls are only some examples of the environments in the game. Rock N’ Roll Climber can be purchased for 800 Wii Points.

The Virtual Console this week is hit by Super Star Wars. Players can get into the battle as a Jedi Knight, and will have to join Luke, Han and Chewbacca against the Evil Empire. The game allows players to pilot two vehicles and tear through the desert landscape in Luke’s landspeeder. Super Star Wars is for one player and is available for 800 Wii Points.

On the DSiWare is the innovative Brain Age game, Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters. The game is developed by Nintendo and can be downloaded for 800 Nintendo DSi Points. New and familiar exercises are mashed up in this installment. Piano Player, Reading Aloud and Word Attack are a few play modes, while in the Themes mode players are challenged in drawing, photography and voice acting.

Nintendo adds new titles every Monday to the Wii Shop Channel and the DSi Shop. Users with high speed internet access can exchange Wii Points or Nintendo DSi Points to purchase games.
