Logitech has previously announced wireless controllers for the Xbox 360 and PS3 for Guitar Hero. Now expanding its support to Wii Guitar Hero gamers, Logitech has introduced the Logitech Wireless Guitar Controller for Wii and the Logitech Wireless Drum Controller for Wii. Both controllers are licensed by Activision Publishing and have materials of high quality found in real guitars and drums. The controllers will be compatible with GH5 and Band Hero, which is expected to be released soon.
“Logitech’s premium guitar and drum controllers have made it easier for Guitar Hero gamers to get into the music with even more realism,” stated Ruben Mookerjee, Logitech’s director of product marketing for gaming. “Now if you love to rock out on Wii, you’ve got the gear to match your level of commitment to the game.”
The Logitech Wireless Guitar Controller for Wii comes with a maple neck, a rosewood fret board and metal frets. It sports a glimmering white finish with a shiny black pick guard, on its one piece wood body. It also features noise dampening fret buttons and strum bar. The guitar controller also has a touch-sensitive slider on the fingerboard allowing gamers to tap out a sequence of notes.
The Logitech Wireless Drum Controller for Wii comes with three fully adjustable drum pads and two cymbal pads. The pieces can be positioned as per a player’s liking and deliver a quite playing experience. The drum controller makes use of a recessed rim design to avoid those accidental rim shots, while its kick pedal has a stainless steel surface and an adjustable spring. The drum controller can be folded flat to reduce storage space.
Both controllers will be available in the US and Europe in October, while only US pricing has been divulged. The Logitech Wireless Guitar Controller for Wii will be available for 199.99 USD (approx. Rs. 9,690) and the Logitech Wireless Drum Controller for Wii is expected to retail for 299.99 USD (approx. Rs. 14,530).
