The Wii gamers had felt left out when they came to know that Electronic Arts (EA) was going to release Rock Band on the other next generation consoles! Well, now they can rejoice as EA has confirmed that Harmonix’s Rock Band will be rocking its way to the Nintendo Wii.
John Riccitiello is the chief executive officer at Electronic Arts. He said, “What are probably the most interesting pieces (of the Rock Band business) right now is the coming launch on the Wii, the continued sales of the core platforms in North America and then (Rock Band’s) fiscal ’09 launch across Europe against all the SKUs. Frankly, for the balance of our Q4, and the first half of fiscal ’09, Rock Band’s a key focus.”
Though EA confirmed that Rock Band is coming on the Wii, they have not given any details about the game or the release date. It would be a great experience to play a game like Rock Band on the Wii because of the Wiimote. Its competitor Guitar Hero III is already available on Nintendo’s next generation and gamers are surely enjoying it too!
