George Harrison to Leave Nintendo

George Harrison Yes, it is true! According to a Reuters article, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications George Harrison has confirmed that he will be leaving the firm later this year. Speculations about him leaving Nintendo have been doing the rounds from the last two months.

It all started in June 2007, when rumors started circulating that George Harrison and other top executives could bid adieu to Nintendo of America after a decision by the video game giant to move their sales and marketing staff from Redmond, Washington to San Francisco and New York. George Harrison told Reuters, “I have confirmed to all employees that I will be leaving at the end of December and not making the move to California.”

George Harrison has been working with Nintendo since the last fifteen years and this decision could come as a surprise to many. Harrison has not mentioned what he will do after saying bye-bye to Nintendo.
