A while ago, we had reported that Electronic Arts’ Boogie videogame would see an August release. Ea sure has kept up to its promise and has announced the release date for its Boogie video game for the Wii. The game will be released on August 31, 2007.

Boogie for the Wii will see players dancing, singing and even creating music videos. The best part is that the game takes complete advantage of the Wii’s innovative yet user-friendly controls.

Boogie will feature all-new versions of popular tracks by bands such as The Jackson 5, Kool & The Gang, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Eyed Peas, Cyndi Lauper and Britney Spears (for the teeny boppers).

Players will be able to belt out their favorite tunes using the karaoke microphone that comes bundled with EA’s Boogie video game.

Besides singing and dancing, players can also record their best dance movies as well as their voice in order to create their very own music videos, using the game’s easy-to-use music video creator.

Boogie gamers can also customize one of the five cute looking Boog characters for their videos or even take them on the road to fame when playing in the game’s story mode.

Boogie has been developed by EA Montreal. Seems like this will definitely be the new party game of the year!
