This week’s lineup of Nintendo downloadable games is being highlighted by the demo of Rayman Origins which can now be downloaded by 3DS users. Other content that is currently live for DS devices includes Kirby’s Block Ball, Chronicles of Vampires: The Awakening, a trailer of Men In Black 3 to watch using the Nintendo Video service and an update for Mario Kart 7.

Rayman Origins for the 3DS has been in the pipeline for far too long now, and hence the news of it having received a June 5, 2012 release date is sure to please fans. The demo can be downloaded currently through the eShop for free by all 3DS owners. The 1995 Game Boy classic, Kirby’s Block Ball has also made its way to the 3DS this week. This block-clearing title has Kirby bouncing all around the screen to destroy blocks and enemies.
Gamers following the developments around Mario Kart 7 may perhaps know that three of its tracks – Wuhu Loop, Maka Wuhu and Bowser Castle 1, contain shortcuts that provide players with extreme advantages. With the latest mandatory patch for this title, all these shortcuts have been permanently eliminated.

Chronicles of Vampires: The Awakening, which complements December’s Chronicles of Vampires: Origin, can now be purchased by gamers for their DSi as well as 3DS systems. This hidden object adventure features puzzles and mini-games that help gamers uncover the conspiracy of wicked creatures, and rescue humanity by uncovering a shocking truth.
While the Rayman Origins demo and the Mario Kart 7 update from this week’s Nintendo downloadable games are available for free through the eShop, Kirby’s Block Ball sells on the service at 2.99 USD (approx. Rs. 160). Chronicles of Vampires: The Awakening on the other hand, can be bought from the DSi Shop as well as the eShop at 500 Points and 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 270), respectively.
