Metroid II – Return of Samus Highlights This Week’s Nintendo Downloadable Games

3DS owners looking for some classic sci-fi action can set their eyes on Metroid II – Return of Samus, which has debuted for the handheld with this week’s Nintendo downloadable games. Other new entries this week include two DSi games titled Come On! Heroes and Battle of the Elements as well as a WiiWare named Big Bass Arcade.

Metroid II - Return of Samus

Metroid II – Return of Samus acts as a sequel to the popular NES game, Metroid. Players are required to fill the shoes of Samus Aran, who is faced with the task of saving the galaxy from a metroid attack. Transpiring on a strange planet named SR388, this game kicks in various powers which can be used by players to slay alien creatures. It is a 3DS exclusive and can now be downloaded via the eShop.

Four fish-filled lakes, five multiple lake tournaments and nine different lures can be made use of to achieve the ultimate goal of catching fishes in the new WiiWare named Big Bass Arcade. Developers also claim this title to possess life-like fish behaviors and impressive visual effects. The challenges, tournaments or free fish sequences in this game can all be played by using both the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk controllers.

Come On! Heroes is story-based action game that involves the search of the king’s daughter who has suddenly eloped out of her mansion. The last title in this week’s list of Nintendo downloadable games is Battle of the Elements. It includes forty missions that need to be solved so as to find the Legenday Elements. Both the above mentioned titles can be purchased for the 3DS as well as the DSi.

Metroid II – Return of Samus from this week’s list of Nintendo downloadable games now retails on the eShop at a price of 3.99 USD (approx. Rs. 208). Come On! Heroes is priced at 1.99 USD (approx. Rs. 104) and 200 Points, whereas Battle of the Elements can be purchased at 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 261) and 500 Points on the respective download services. Big Bass Arcade, on the other hand can be downloaded through the Wii Shop Channel at 500 Points.
