The ever so popular PSN title Zen Pinball will be dished out to Nintendo 3DS users this fall under the name of Zen Pinball 3D. Developer Zen Studios has announced that the game will be equipped with 3D versions of four original tables which include Earth Defense, Shaman, Excalibur and Eldorado.
Zen Pinball 3D would be released through the eShop and will apparently feature local hot seat multiplayer, online leader boards and table rankings, multiple view points as well as rewards for playing and accomplishing table specific missions. Gamers can also compete for the Pro Score ranking which is the sum of a player’s high score across all tables. Besides, there’s the Team Score achievement that comprises the sum of a player’s score and a friends score.
Mel Kirk, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations, explained, “Releasing Zen Pinball on a Nintendo platform marks an amazing milestone for Zen Studios. We are really excited for Nintendo fans to experience one of our greatest passions – the timeless game of pinball! Playing pinball in 3D is killer, it’s like the game has been totally reinvented, and a whole new world opens up right before your eyes.”
The Earth Defense table in this game pits players against aliens who are in conflict with a certain planet. On the other hand, Shamen places gamers in the shoes of a sorcerer who must master the art of beckoning ‘spectacular natural phenomena.’ Excalibur is set in the middle ages while Eldorado involves mysteries of an ancient civilization.
Zen Pinball 3D will be made available to Nintendo 3DS users this fall through the eShop. Pricing information of this title is yet to be revealed by Zen Studios.
