3D Classics: Urban Champion, a re-mastered version of the 80s fighting game which we used to enjoy on our NES systems has made its way to the 3DS as a part of this week’s Nintendo Downloads. Flight Control, Zoonies – Escape from Mataku and Blockado – Puzzle Island are some of the other downloadables in Nintendo’s update.
Urban Champion which was apparently the first fighting title to be released on the NES requires players to land punches on opponents with an aim to knock them backwards into an open manhole, before time runs out. It is a 3DS exclusive. Flight Control a, successful smartphone title will now be controlled via the Wii Remote. Guiding airplanes to runways while protecting them from smashing into each other is the goal of this title which retails as a WiiWare for 500 Points.
Zoonies – Escape from Mataku involves Leo the Lion who is trying to escape from the jungle. Gamers have to clear the path for this wild cat as he tries to find his way back to friends and family. Build-a-lot takes players on the path to becoming a real estate mogul as they construct, upgrade and sell houses for huge profits. Blockado – Puzzle Island involves cracking of puzzles in order to help the character escape a mysterious island. All three games can be downloaded for both the 3DS and DSi.
The Nintendo Video app too gets content is the form of 3 new videos. UYUYUI! is an animation film involving two friends who get separated by a violent wind. American singer, Jason Derulo’s new music video titled It Girl also makes its way into this week’s downloads. Furthermore, Duel, a clip supposedly consisting the ‘world’s most awesome fight scenes, the world’s most unlikely fighters,’ too will be available on Nintendo Video.
3D Classics: Urban Champion can now be purchased from the eShop for 4.99 USD (approx Rs. 228). Both Zoonies – Escape from Mataku and Blockado – Puzzle Island sell on the eShop and DSi Shop for 4.99 USD (approx Rs. 228) and 500 points respectively.
