Kingdom Hearts Re:coded out today in Europe and PAL territories

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded

Back in October last year, Square Enix disclosed that the next chapter in the Kingdom Hearts franchise would emerge onto the gaming terrain early next year. With that time frame dawning upon us with the new year, the company has now unleashed Kingdom Hearts Re:coded across Europe and PAL territories.

The latest Nintendo DS title sees Jiminy Cricket spotting a strange message written by an anonymous person in the journal that contains his first quest with Sora. In order to get to the bottom of this mystery, King Mickey digitizes the journal and dives deep into its pages to solve the secret. A second Sora is found in the ‘datascape’ as he gets set to begin a new adventure.

Larry Sparks, Vice President Brands PAL Region of Square Enix said, “The Kingdom Hearts series goes from strength to strength and Re:coded is another smash hit with an intriguing mystery to solve and plenty of fun along the way.”

The events of the newly-released game follow close on the heels of Kingdom Hearts II. The title offers DS owners a new adventure packed with characters and situations plucked out of the earlier Kingdom Hearts titles. To further entice gamers, the company has endowed this offering with a custom avatar system, new game mechanics and various play systems.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is compatible with the Nintendo DS console and unfurls across Europe and PAL territories today.
