Capcom’s Resident Evil franchise previously seen on various consoles such as PS3, PS2, Wii and even the iOS continues to grow with newer additions to its list. The latest addition, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D has shipped to North America for the Nintendo 3DS. It is believed to have re-mastered stages and a co-op multiplayer gameplay.
The game comes bundled with an added bonus which comprises of a demo to the upcoming title Resident Evil: Revelations. The character list includes Chris Redfield, Krauser, Hunk, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker, Barry Burton, Rebecca Chambers and Claire Redfield who battle for their lives against their enemies. Their foes comprise Executioner and Popo Karimu, infected Majini and legions of scythe-wielding cultists. The game features thirty new and old locations for gameplay as well.
It also features additional touch controls which make in-game movement and shooting easier. Users can unlock new skills by playing through different locations. Various skills affect the abilities of different characters such as upgraded health regeneration, weapon power, aiming and reloading speeds and extra melee attacks. Extra abilities such as thunderbolt, a lightning charged attack are also added into the game.
Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is available in North America for 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,784) and is rated as ‘M’ for mature content.
