Nintendo 3DS

We are only a few months away from this year’s E3 but it seems like the waves from the previous one are still gushing into the domain. Unveiled at the 2010 event, the Nintendo 3DS has been the center of attention for several months now. Following its release in the Japanese market, Andriasang recently highlighted a Nikkei report which states that the first batch of shipments comprising 400,000 3DS units has been sold out in the country.

Reportedly, Nintendo had unleashed approximately 400,000 3DS units through numerous retail outlets for Japanese gaming enthusiasts. Owing to widespread publicity campaigns and the resulting popularity of the handheld console, these units are plugged to have departed from store shelves within the first 24 hours of its availability.
