This week’s DSiWare offering is rather interesting. It carries a Texas Hold ‘Em poker game by Hands-On Mobile, one in which you pilot a ship and one which has you on the hunt for Jack the Ripper. Four games are available as DSiWare this week including Metal Torrent, Advanced Circuits, World Poker Tour Texas Hold ‘Em, and Real Crimes: Jack the Ripper.

Metal Torrent is from Nintendo for one player. The game is a vertical scrolling shooter which allows you to pilot a ship deep into enemy space. You must battle wave after wave of enemies as you strive for the highest score on the online leaderboards. Two fighters, the Accipiter and the Bateleur, tailored for beginners and experts are available to choose from. Gamers must progress through the eight phases of the game collecting a series of consecutive cubes to create a chain and boost overall score. Metal Torrent is available for 500 Nintendo DSi Points.
World Poker Tour Texas Hold ‘Em can be played by up to six players and allows users to experience the heart-pounding tension of playing at the World Poker Tour. The official game has been tested and approved by the experts at the WPT. You can play solo in two unique tournaments which have been specially crafted for the DSi system, or use the local wireless connection to bet your friends out of the game. World Poker Tour Texas Hold ‘Em is available for 500 Nintendo DSi Points.
Real Crimes: Jack the Ripper is a hidden object game for one player from Virtual Playground. The game features many 3D locales and scores of hidden objects to find, as well as extremely realistic scenes and an accurate storyline. World famous landmarks are also featured in the game including the Piccadilly Circus and Buckingham Palace. Real Crimes: Jack the Ripper is available for 800 Nintendo DSi Points.
Advanced Circuits is a mind-boggling puzzle game that tests your powers of deduction. You must complete circuits by connecting squares on the game board. A few pieces of track are already connected to push you in the right direction. The rules of the game are simple enough while the challenges are tough, and there is only one unique solution to each puzzle. The game features over 60 pre-defined game boards and 72 awards to be won. There are also tutorials and hints to help you and a Free Play mode for you to practice and perfect your skills.
