The Nintendo DS console has seen many revisions, the latest of which is a larger version, the DSi XL. At present the DSi XL comes in two colours to American consumers – Bronze and Burgundy. Now Nintendo of America has announced that the DSi XL will be available in a new colour scheme starting in July this year. The new colour scheme selected for the DSi XL console from Nintendo is midnight blue.
The DSi XL console has two screens which are 93 percent more than the screens found on the DS Lite system. The DSi XL also comes with all the features of the DSi console including two cameras, and photo and sound manipulation functions. It also packs a larger pen-like stylus in addition to the standard stylus that comes with other Nintendo handheld systems.
US consumers will be able to purchase a DSi XL console from Nintendo in midnight blue starting from July 11, 2010. The console will be available for a suggested retail price of 189.99 USD (approx. Rs. 8,940).
