Recently we heard the news that Nintendo had announced a new large screen DSi LL. Now Joystiq is reporting that according to a Nintendo spokesperson the new Nintendo DSi LL is scheduled to hit North American and European store shelves sometime in the first quarter of 2010.
Nintendo of Europe issued a statement to VideoGamer stating, “Nintendo today confirms that a new Nintendo DSi XL console is launching in Europe in the first quarter of 2010. The retail price of the Nintendo DSi XL is expected to be higher than that of the Nintendo DSi. Further details will be released soon.”
The Nintendo DSi LL will apparently be known as the Nintendo DSi XL in North America and Europe, and will sport a screen 93 percent larger than the current DSi Lite. While the Japanese price is known, Europe and North America will have to wait for a confirmation on pricing from Nintendo.
