Amazing Adventures: The Forgotten Ruins soon releasing for Nintendo DS

PopCap Games and Ubisoft have joined forces to bring gaming audiences a great puzzling title. The companies unveil Amazing Adventures: The Forgotten Ruins. The game is compatible with the Nintendo DS and will soon make its appearance this month in all EMEA regions. Despite being inspired by the PC game series which also involves seeking hidden objects, the latest offering boasts of brand new locations, challenges, gameplay modes and even a whole new storyline.

The Amazing Adventures franchise has been very successful online, boasting more than 15 million downloads since its 2007 introduction, and we are confident it will translate well for the adaptation on Nintendo DS.”

Amazing Adventures: The Forgotten Ruins takes gamers to an archeological excavation site where they can immerse themselves in an all new storyline. Players can find various clues which would later lead them to the ultimate reward, a forgotten Mayan ruin. The captivating title which is rich in content includes 20 missions and 18 exotic terrains. The entertainment package incorporates 11 missions that are exclusively fashioned for the Nintendo DS.

Each scene comprises of more than 90 hidden objects which are sure to pose a challenge to owners of the portable system. As players unravel mysteries and find concealed objects they are able to earn awards for achieving certain objectives. While foraging through the stages, gamers can find bonus items like Mayan Glyphs and Jade Masks. These can then be used to unlock additional gameplay modes.

Besides all the entertaining puzzling action, Amazing Adventures: The Forgotten Ruins also consists of 5 mini-games. These include popular titles like Memory Match and Mah-Jongg. The game is fashioned to exploit the special features of the Nintendo DS. Players can maneuver around in the game with the help of unique stylus-based controls. There are also three individual profiles and a separate instructions page for easy and quick reference.

Amazing Adventures: The Forgotten Ruins is developed in partnership with Black Lantern Studios and is expected to release on September 10, 2009 in all EMEA regions. The price of the title is however not disclosed by the company as yet.
