Tony Hawk games have been very popular with the crowd from the time they have been released. But a few months ago, Activision head Mike Griffiths had spoken about a Tony Hawk game that would use a new technology not yet seen on Nintendo’s handheld. Now publishers Activision has sent word about Tony Hawk Motion for the Nintendo DS.
Tony Hawk Motion will be making use of Motion Pack accelerometer from Kionix for the control scheme. Gamers will be able to tilt and turn through abundant skateboarding sessions. So you won’t be getting a new DS but a Motion Pack that neatly fits into to GBA slot of the handheld gaming console.
Tony Hawk Motion for the Nintendo DS will be developed by Creat Studio, who have earlier worked on titles like the Aqua Teen game and Smash Cars. The game is expected to be out later this year in November 2008. It will also feature a motion controlled painting-based puzzle title called as Hue Pixel Painter.
