Prince of Persia: The Fallen King for Nintendo DS Unveiled by Ubisoft

A few weeks ago, we had reported that Ubisoft had revealed a new Prince of Persia game and had pointed out that a different Prince of Persia game would be launched for the DS. Now Ubisoft has sent word about Prince of Persia: The Fallen, a game that has been made exclusively for the Nintendo DS.

Prince of Persia: The Fallen King is about the Prince who is on a quest to fight the spreading Corruption destroying the land. Though the story of the game is independent, it still closely concurs to the PC and console versions of the game. The game will see the players employ the DS stylus to master the acrobatics, strategy and fighting tactics.

Prince of Persia: The Fallen King has its own exceptional visual style and gamers can expect more than fifty maps as well as look forward to exploring deserted cities as well as dark labyrinths and forbidding jungles. The game has an all-new character and players will be able to switch between the Prince and this mysterious character and will have solve puzzles and make the most of his magical powers.

Prince of Persia: The Fallen for the Nintendo DS has been developed by the Casablanca studio of Ubisoft. It will be released for Nintendo’s handheld gaming console in the holiday season of 2008, same time around the launch of the PC and console version. There were speculations that a Prince of Persia game would also be released for the Wii, but there is no confirmation yet from Ubisoft.
