Minecraft – Pocket Edition Update Scheduled for February

It has been revealed by developer Mojang on its official blog that the Minecraft – Pocket Edition update will be meted out for iOS and Android devices next month. New animals, blocks as well as other content and some bug fixes are all supposed to be a part of this update.

Apparently, Mojang was earlier planning this update to include the popular Creative mode from the original game. But this decision had to be altered as the developer took heed of fan feedback which asked for monsters, resources, animals and more blocks to be introduced to the game. And it is this reason that prompted them to erase the initial code and write a new one for the fans. Ultimately, it has led to the reorganizing of the complete plan of this game.

“We have read tons of comments and feedback and it seems like we made a huge mistake. You wanted monsters, resources, animals and more different blocks. This means that the initial code we had written didn’t exactly fit with the new plan where we wanted to add all the stuff you have been asking for. So we have been reorganizing, rewritten and changed the whole plan for Minecraft – Pocket Edition,” commented, Daniel Kaplan, Business Developer at Mojang.

This new update will supposedly change the background of the title in order to support its survival aspects. New doors and fences along with animals and blocks would also be seen entering the game. However, Crafting will not form a part of this update, due to the complicated procedures required to incorporate it.
