Gamers who pre-order their copies of the much anticipated Prototype 2 through GameStop will receive an in-game bonus in the form of Sgt. James Heller’s Bio-Bomb Butt Kicker ability. Available only in North America this offer would only remain valid till one day before the game’s launch date in this region.
This new ability will grant gamers with the skill of lashing out at enemies and turning them into projectiles who then fall from above. Developed by Radical Entertainment, this title acts as a sequel to Prototype which was released in 2009 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. In December last year, this title also made its way onto Mac systems. The sequel is all set to include an all-new protagonist named Sergeant James Heller who will embark upon a quest to destroy the Blacklight virus once and for all.
Ken Rosman, Studio Head, Radical Entertainment, revealed, “Butt Kicker is a fun twist on Heller’s already over-the-top new Bio-Bomb ability. Rather than just throwing enemies once Heller has infected them with the Blacklight virus; Butt Kicker allows Heller to drop-kick punt them across the map, turning enemies into projectiles that rain down devastation from above.”
The story of this new game pits Heller against the protagonist from the previous title, Alex Mercer. After learning of the death of his family, Heller is compelled to kill Alex, as it was he who released the Blacklight virus which is the main cause of the entire disaster.
Prototype 2 is now available to pre-order for the PS3 and Xbox 360 through GameStop at a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,150), while its PC version can be reserved at 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,625).
