The International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA) has sent world that they have gotten into an agreement with the GSM Association (GSMA). They will be joining forces at the Mobile World Congress that takes place in Barcelona in February 2008. Their main aim is to encourage the development of the mobile gaming sector.

The International Mobile Gaming Awards will be supported and promoted by GSMA. They will also be facilitating the IMGA in hosting their annual Awards ceremony in the Mobile Entertainment & Content Zone at the Mobile World Congress. The IMGA will be returning the favor by endorsing and supporting GSMA’s Global Mobile Award’s Best Mobile Game category. Also, Mobile World Congress will serve as a platform for both small and large developers for their games and GSMA feels that mobile gaming helps drive creativity and innovation as well as adds value to the industry and to consumers.
If you are wondering when would GSMA’s Global Mobile Awards be held, well, they will take place on February 12, 2008. As for the IMGA Awards, they will be held a day before on February 11, 2007 at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona, Spain.
