After being made a free-to-play title last month, DC Universe Online has now been endowed with Game Update 6 which adds to the MMORPG, a new episode alongside fresh weapons and gear. This update can be downloaded for free by players belonging to each of the three access levels – free, premium and legendary.
Towards the end of the last update, gamers had overpowered Brainiac’s incursion into the Fortress of Solitude. But in this process, they had to face betrayal from their Kryptonian ally General Zod. This new episode will commence right where the last update ended. Players will be trapped in the The Fortress of Solitude: Sunstone Matrix, where General Zod is controlling the Sun Crystal Matrix Chamber.
With the new content, arch enemies Superman and Lex Luthor will again be teaming up together to get rid of the evil General Zod. And in doing so, they shall also gain back control over the Fortress of Solitude. Heroes as well as villains will be required to join forces and fight the militant General Zod, who will be accompanied by his Kryptonian super-villain friends Non and Ursa. In addition, more weapons and armor, including the new Kryptonian Military weapons and the final pieces of the Avatar style set would also be making their way into this game.
DCUO has been receiving quite some attention since it went free-to-play last month for the PS3 and PC. Three access levels are currently on offer to gamers depending upon their previous transactions within the title. While new players can join in for free, those who have made in-game purchases up to certain amounts, have been granted premium and legendary memberships.
The Game Update 6 for DC Universe Online is now live and can be downloaded by players from all access levels.
