Some weeks ago, SOE announced the delay in the release date of the much awaited DC Universe Online (DCUO). With some time close at hand, the company has been endeavoring to deliver a comprehensive package. To craft a remarkable experience for gamers, it has now roped in four impressive voice talents into the game’s cast.
The new members of the DCUO ensemble include Arleen Sorkin from Batman: The Animated Series and Corey Burton who lent his voice for Star Wars: The Clone Wars as well as Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Wil Wheton who voiced Ted Kord, the Silver Age Blue Beetle, in Batman: The Brave and the Bold too joins this cast along with Dwight Schultz of The A-Team fame.
“The addition of these actors to our existing cast reaffirms our commitment to gamers to deliver the most fun and authentic DC Universe experience possible. They’re all experienced and talented performers and we’re excited for players to hear their work when they encounter them in the game,” commented Sony Online Entertainment Executive Producer John Blakely.
In the game, Arleen Sorkin will star as Joker’s girlfriend/henchman namely Harley Quinn while Will Wheaton takes on the role of Robin, the Boy Wonder. Corey Burton steps into the saga as the voice of Brainiac whereas Dwight Schultz will don the garb of The Flash. With such a star-studded cast, this MMO is expected to unleash action-packed online multiplayer gameplay infused with heroes, villains and landmarks from the popular universe.
DC Universe Online will hit stores for the PC and PlayStation 3 in early 2011 with an estimated price tag of 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,220) and 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,665), respectively.
