Star Trek Online is a sci-fi MMORPG based on the acclaimed Star Trek series. Atari announces that Star Trek Online for PC would be releasing in February 2010 in Europe as well as North America. Developed by Cryptic Studios, the upcoming title is expected to entice fans and gamers alike with space and ground gameplay elements.
The game begins where the latest film trailed off and is staged in the year 2409. Complete with many exhilarating features, the game offers something for everyone especially new as well as hard-core Star Trek fans. They can embark on unparalleled adventures and experience all the elements that one would expect to see in a Star Trek based game.

Throughout the last four decades, Star Trek has been a mainstay in pop culture, influencing legions of fans through television, film, and more. Star Trek Online opens a whole new chapter and expands upon this incredible universe in 2010.”
Gamers can take on the role of a high ranking Starfleet officer and journey into deadly missions which occur in various places around the galaxy including exotic planets and other starships. Star Trek Online offers players great customization options. The ships controlled by the players can be personalized right from its construction to what color it can be drenched in. Interestingly, gamers can even design their very own Star Trek species and also fashion their avatar’s uniform in any way they choose.
Star Trek Online is set to unveil on February 2 and 5, 2010 in North America and across Europe respectively.
