Two years ago, a few former Blizzard employees formed Red 5 Studios, which is a developer of global massively-multiplayer online (MMO) entertainment. Now it has emerged that Tewon Yun, Red 5’s VP of Production and Operations will be delivering a lecture and lead a question and answer session at GDC China.
The lecture and Q & A session will be about the continued globalization of MMOs. Yun had founded Blizzard Korea and was responsible for launching World of Warcraft in Asia. He will speak for an hour on the advantages and challenges faced by MMO developers and publishers bringing massive games to the global market.
Along with Yun, other Red 5 reps like William Petras, Harley Huggins, Brian Hsu as well as Ed Stark will be speaking at the conference. Tewon Yun’s session will take place on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 9 AM. Also, a booth by Red 5 Studios will be hosted where conference participants will get more information on the firm as well as open positions with their Shanghai and California offices.
