The creative director of 345 Games confirmed to Joystiq in an interview that a second South Park game is indeed in the making for Xbox 360. The news comes as a relief for fans of the game based on popular cartoon show. Microsoft, who had published the first game of the franchise nearly two years back, will hold exclusive publishing rights to this title as well.
“Right now, South Park is actually in a first-party deal with Microsoft Studios, who published the first game, and they’re doing a second game as well. After that, that first-party exclusivity window expires, and we get a shot of taking that back,” declared Prithvi Virasinghe, Creative Director, 345 Games.
Apart from that, Virasinghe also expressed the desire to create a game based on Comedy Central’s character Stephen Colbert. “It has to be the right combination of game idea meets property,” Virasinghe said about the game.
There has been no announcement yet upon the release of the second South Park game for Xbox 360, but gamers can stay posted for further developments.
