2K Play Launches Carnival Games: Monkey See, Monkey Do on Kinect for Xbox 360

After hosting numerous sporting events and dance-offs, the Kinect for Xbox 360 is now allowing gamers to set out on an amusing ride. Putting together three interesting characters in the same ring, 2K Play has unleashed Carnival Games: Monkey See, Monkey Do for the system. While the title boasts of the aforesaid name internationally, it has been christened as Carnival Games: In Action for the UK market.

Featuring a Wily Wizard, Mischievous Monkey and Boastful Barker, the game renders over five theme-park alleyways including Coaster Corner and Whirlwig Way. It has been designed for extending twenty vibrant midway games and attractions, allowing players to fight against a heavy bag in the Konckout Punch, experience twisted ways of Crash Test Dummy and embark into a galactic adventure with Rocket to Mars.

“We built Carnival Games: Monkey See, Monkey Do from the ground up to take full advantage of the one-of-a-kind technology in Kinect for Xbox 360,” explained Steve Lux, Vice President for Business Development for 2K Play. “From the character-based voice recognition capabilities to the virtual reality effect you feel from playing a game of Granny Shot, the game has no equal in the world of family entertainment.”

The company has infused Carnival Games: Monkey See, Monkey Do with midway classics such as Wheel of Chance, Alley Ball, Strength Test and Court King. Its design is said to blend with the Kinect’s motion-sensing abilities for unfurling a string of interactive prizes and surprises which include flying bears, pet dragons and more.

To further refine this experience, the game facilitates players to challenge others in their Xbox Avatars. As gamers enter these contests, they can dress their Avatars in Viking, Ninja, Wild West and Swashbuckler costumes. The publisher has tossed out a special Carnival Games’ avatar collection on the Xbox Live Marketplace which comprises a range of Barker accessories and other downloadable content to aid this purpose.

Carnival Games: Monkey See, Monkey Do is out in stores for the Kinect. Crafted by 2K’s Cat Daddy Games, the title has been packed with a coupon for obtaining a free package of Jolly Time popcorn and the Monkey Barker Popcorn Pops recipe in North America.
