Sega Announces Kinect-ready Sonic Free Riders

News of this Sega title was buried deep within Microsoft’s E3 2010 list of titles for its new Kinect motion gaming technology. But now by way of the Sega blogs, Sega has officially announced its first Kinect game for the Xbox 360, Sonic Free Riders.

Sonic Free Riders

Sonic Free Riders features fast-paced boarding action and is full body motion controlled taking full advantage of the Kinect for the Xbox 360. Players must twist and turn as they navigate the visually enthralling courses in the game. Players have to control their fully customizable hover board or bike by body actions such as jumping and twisting. Family and friends can join in the action-packed race to the finish line.

The Kinect-ready game gives players the choice of their favourite Sonic characters or even their Xbox 360 Avatars, and features a variety of pick-ups along the way which players must reach out for and grab. Throwing, shaking or swinging launches these pick-ups giving a competitive edge in single-player or multiplayer races.

Sonic Free Riders will be available for the Xbox 360 this holiday season.
