Details of Project Natal launch and pricing leaked?

Microsoft’s brain child Project Natal offers players controller-free gaming and is designed for the Xbox 360 system. It is portrayed as an add-on peripheral for the console and is highly responsive to gestures and spoken commands. Not much is known about Project Natal until about now. According to MCV, more information is revealed on Natal in the form of launch date and pricing details. These were apparently leaked while Microsoft was on a behind-closed-doors tour of UK publishers and studios.

Rumor Project Natal Release Details

The website reveals that its sources have given a November 2010 release date for the innovative controller-free 360 camera. It appears that Microsoft plans to ship 5 million units when it releases in both a stand-alone pack as well as packed with the Xbox 360 systems. The device by itself reportedly would cost less than £50 (approx. Rs.3,883). A publishing source reveals that the company is ‘trying to get as close as possible to ‘impulse buy’ while another says that it may sell for £30 (approx. Rs.2,329).

According to the information leaked, 14 games will be unveiled along with the launch of the Natal. At the Tokyo Game Show many companies committed to fashion titles which would be compatible for the upcoming device. Some of these companies include Activision, Capcom, EA, MTV, Sega, THQ, Disney, Konami, Namco Bandai, Ubisoft and Square Enix. However not much is revealed about what exactly these games would be. Fable 3 by Lionhead Studios is speculated to launch alongside the release of Project Natal. Director of the game Molyneux disclosed that it would feature Natal support. He also stated that the title would release in the holiday season next year.

All these speculations have helped to shed some more light on Project Natal although no official word is out on these revelations.
