Microsoft ends support to its Xbox console

Microsoft has finally disconnected the life support to its original Xbox console users. Owners of the original consoles, which have run out their warranty, will have to find alternate means of fixing their machines from now on or just purchase new units.

The post continues, “On March 2, 2009, technical support documents and content will be available online. Our Web sites will host a wealth of previous and new how-to, troubleshooting, and configuration content that has been revised and updated to meet our customer needs and current support model.”

The official Xbox support website also says that original Xbox users whose machines are under warranty and need to be repaired will be able to submit an exchange request online, to upgrade to the Xbox 360 console.
