For gamers in western countries, most of the games are released in the month of December. But for the gamers in India, usually it is the period from mid-October to mid-November when they can expect most of the gaming companies to release the blockbuster games as that’s when the major festive season is.
One such blockbuster game that hardcore gamers in India were looking forward was Fallout 3. But now Microsoft India has sent word that they would not be releasing Fallout 3 for the Xbox 360 in India. An email statement sent by Microsoft India reads:
“Microsoft constantly endeavors to bring the best games to Indian consumers in sync with their international release. However, in light of cultural sensitivities in India, we have made the business decision to not bring Fallout 3 into the country.”
Apparently, it seems that Microsoft India’s decision not bring Fallout 3 into the country is based on the fact that cows in the game are named after a religious sect. But it means that many Indian gamers would be disappointed. Also, gamers can always import the RPG from abroad.
