60GB Xbox 360 Announced by Microsoft, 20GB Version To Cost Less

Some two weeks ago, we had reported that Microsoft apparently was going to cut the price of the Xbox 360. Well, there is some real nice news for gamers who were looking forward to buy Microsoft’s current generation gaming console as they have revealed some amazing information.

Microsoft has sent word about a new version of the Xbox 360 that will come with a hard disk drive that has a capacity of 60GB. As for the 20GB version of the Xbox 360, Microsoft has said that they are slashing its price in the United States and Canada by fifty dollars.

Albert Penello is the Xbox director of product management at Microsoft. He explains, “We know consumers need more and more space to store the amazing digital content Xbox 360 offers, and we are giving it to them at no extra charge. No one device offers the depth and breadth of entertainment that Xbox 360 can deliver, and now you’ll have three times the storage to manage all that great content.”

The Microsoft 60GB Xbox 360 will come with a price tag of $349 (approx. Rs. 14, 900). The 20GB Xbox 360 will now cost $299 (approx. Rs. 12, 760). But it will only be available while the supplies last. Well, let’s hope they announce a price cut for Europe as well as other PAL territories like India.
